 Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

 Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

Alternative Ending

Over the last two terms we have been reading the first adventure in the Harry Potter series, and we have reached a climactic moment in the story, where the antagonist will be revealed.

Your job in this task is to write the end to our story.

Harry, Hermione and Ron have been on a mission to discover who is trying to steal the Philosopher’s Stone, and have passed through a series of magical challenges, set by the Hogwarts’ professors, the last of which was to choose between different bottles, some dangerous, some safe, and only one that will let them through to the next room. There is only enough for Harry to pass through safely..

Hermione turned and walked straight through the purple fire. Harry took a deep breath and picked up the smallest bottle. He turned to face the black flames. ‘Here I come… ’ he said, and drained the little bottle in one gulp.

It was indeed as though ice was flowing through his body. He put the bottle down and walked forward; he braced himself, saw the black flames lick his body but he couldn’t feel them – for a moment he could see nothing but dark fire – then he was on the other side, in the last chamber.

There was already someone there, but it wasn’t Snape. It wasn’t even Voldemort…

Begin writing your ending here:

It was a boy that looked the same as Harry potter, but he was lost in the same room. The boy turned and looked in confusion because there were two Harry potters, the real Harry potter said “who are you and what is your name?” Then the other Harry Potter said “I am Harry potter” Harry felt shocked and confused. Then the real Harry walked away and spied on the other Harry, Then the fake Harry Potter shape- shifted into what he really was. The real harry potter didn’t know him then he realised the fake harry wanted the stone because there was very strong magic inside the stone. Then Harry jumped out and said “YOU CAN’T TAKE THE STONE” Then the fake harry laughed and said “you can’t stop me” then he took the stone and ran, but harry ran as fast as he could and then he cached him and took him down then harry took the stone for the bad harry and then he put the stone back and called the cops. And Harry Potter saved the stone.

Opinion Writing Task

Your job today is to write a short essay answering the following question.

Should gaming be taught in schools?

We have brainstormed some of the things that gaming can teach us. You need to decide whether you…

AGREE or DISAGREE

Choose three STRONG points you would like to make to support your opinion, and put them into the places below;

Point One: It might be bad.

Point Two: People could hurt you online

Point Three: It could teach you bad things.

In the space below begin your writing;

In this essay i will argue that video games should not be taught in school

To support my argument i will use three point;

It could be a distraction

It could be inappropriate

It could be  violent

I would Disagree that video games should be taught at school because there is much more stuff you could learn about like animals or about cars. And lots of video games are bad to learn about.

And learning about video games at school  isn’t really good because its not really something you could learn about, bad things that might happen and to not play it because there could be people that you don’t know that you are talking to and they could probably ask about you and that could be very dangerous.

But in your free time you could play sensible video games but not bad ones that in inappropriate and valiant ways you could play nice peaceful video games.

Video games could be a distraction for people.
